going to review terracing at football grounds. Personally I prefer the seats - much safer. Anyone else have a view?

Definetly prefer seating. I can see why some people would prefer the terracing but seating is much safer.

Maybe an alternative option would be to have sections of grounds where seats are still in place but you are allowed to stand up if you want. That way they get the atmosphere and everything of standing up but there is still the safety aspect of everyone having a seat.

    Me too.

Strange how after a disaster they bring in a measure that actually has some effect - then start considering going back to old ways.

    Can't beat standing up

Obviously the terracing has to be safe with lots of crush barriers etc. Helps you to keep warm on those bitter winter nights.

To be fair I think the priority for football at this time is to tackle two problems that are spoilingthe game- and neither of them involve terracing. The first is the hyper inflation of players wages which are just scadalous and the second (knock on) is the cost of watching football for the average fan. The idea of bringing terracing back is a token gesture towards returning football back to the way things were when the game had some common sense and some working class roots.
