we wouldn't be signing anybody today. I was with DragonTyke all the way on this one (very amusing). I'm disappointed but not surprised. My only criticism of the club is the way they build up some fans' hopes and then dash them, not very good PR.
I suspect we'll be using the loan market over the next couple of months when everything settles down. Looking at the depth of the squad (or lack of it)I think we're gonna have to. Centre half should be priority.

    mebbe..just mebbe...we could....

just about get through and survive with what we have, but we would have to be very fortunate with injuries and supensions. Then next season we might be better placed for getting extra strength

No way defence wise. We have one proper centre half in Reid, a half decent converted one in Kay and we're relying on a fullback (Hassell) to cover for injuries/suspensions. Not exactly ideal at this level I would have thought ? The goals against column does not lie and IMHO it's something we should have sorted out in the summer.

    What worries me

the number of times we fail when we are after anybody decent, makes you think that somebody at the Well is totally out of tune with the rest of the league, nearly as bad as the number of times we have a triallist and never follow it up which makes you think the scouts must be bleedin blind.!!
