I can't remember the last time I've been so bored watching the "Super" Reds. We couldn't even score in the pre-match kickabout, it was that bad. And Colgan was MOTM (Jesus Christ). And it rained (I'm still sticking with my theory from the Swindon match that "we'll do alright while the sun shines") I think we had 2 shots that made it to the keeper, both 25 yarders from Burns in the 1st half (shame he has to spend most of his BFC career holding the midfield to allow McP the chance to "shine") and Stephen McPhail. My God. Does he do ANYTHING except come halfway into his own half to collect the ball from a defender then kick it square to someone? Will he ever make it far enough up the park to set a goal up? Oh, and Nardiello spent the match offside (but by now, you don't need to be told these things) Closest we got to scoring was when Shuker came on (yes, it was THAT bad). He created panic with a wicked cross (don't worry, I'm coming to the punchline) that rebounded to someone who looked odds on to score...but it was charged down. Shuker then reverted to type and found the keeper or the stand with his other 3 or 4 crosses that he had ample time to stick where he wanted. Depressing. Can BFC pls tell me whether it's worth my while to travel all the way to Swansea in a few weeks? My match highlight? Near end of 1st half, Molly asking their keeper if he was as bored as we were. Aidan Davison (fair play!) turned round and nodded. And I will rant about Ritchie's tictacs on another thread. He's showing all the signs of being worse than Glyn Hodges and Paul Hart put together.
That's buggered that plan then. I was hoping that someone would come on here after the game and tell us that we actually played really well and it was the commentator that made it appear to be boring.
RE: That's buggered that plan then. the commentator made my afternoon, it was that bad it was funny!! there should be a poll, will he get sack on monday morning, he was the worst ive ever heard
Agreed, he was by far the worst I've ever heard. He made Seth wotshisname seem brilliant, and that's saying somert.
RE: Agreed, he was by far the worst I've ever heard. He bored me so much, I CHOOSE to go shopping instead!
It's very worrying even at this early stage. We've got 2 more players from A&E and a half decent looking striker. We haven't got any leaders on the pitch nor enough players who are up for a scrap when the boots start flying, or who've got the bottle to hang on for a result. We've heard the whole "We played em off the park but were unlucky" story too many times now. 20 mins pretty football in a match is not enough & players like McPhail have been getting away with it for too long. We need a couple of solid pros in there. 2 home league matches to come, 6 points needed to get back on track. I fear it could be very much like last season.
Sorry Cazi................. even a blind Ostrich with it's head in a bucket of Cement isn't gonna tell you that was anything other than dull!
It's a good job you clarified the 'wicked cross' part. I was going to rescind your 'I can spot a footballer' membership.
Cazi. Don't ever do that again. Post a link to a commentator like that. I hold you responsible for that lot. I put the home boys on after a while... they were okay... homespun, like. I do like our own mob.
