.............we have had the usual spiel and nicey nicey comments from the club when a manager leaves.......i.e. wishing the manager well etc etc ...............but is the official line actually what Patrick is thinking about this ??? Its been said that Pat and LJ have had a really close working relationship And Pat has said, according to some on here, that Lee Johnson will be his last manager he employs as owner of the club.
Re: It would be very very interesting to hear what Patrick has to say about LJ leavin It's fair to say that encouraged him to go
I'm not a pc fan in the complete sense but I don't think he needs to say anything. I think the statements issued by the club officially are enough. For once he has had a manager walk out. Rather than sacked. It could well balance PCs mind somewhat. If that makes sense
Re: It would be very very interesting to hear what Patrick has to say about LJ leavin See Whitey's Blog post: http://youbeautifulreds.blogspot.co....are-loyal.html
Re: It would be very very interesting to hear what Patrick has to say about LJ leavin No, I don't think its necessary for Patrick to release anything to the media...........but it would be interesting to hear what he is saying in private.
Re: It would be very very interesting to hear what Patrick has to say about LJ leavin Thanks for that.............this is Patricks resent statement taken from whiteys Blog "It is disappointing that 'LJ' has gone, but the club dealt with it well in my opinion. It is not true that Bristol City triggered a release clause to get 'LJ'. When Bristol City approached, we had the decision whether to grant permission and given that 'LJ' wanted to speak to them, we did not stand in his way. Some will feel that we should have said no and made him stay. But in my view that attitude just builds resentment and affects results. Ultimately, there is nothing to stop a manager just walking out in breach of his contract and then the predator club just steps in and pays the appropriate damages, which are often ruled by courts to be less than the compensation that might otherwise have been negotiated. It didn't come to that with LJ, he behaved well. He made his position clear and we negotiated with Bristol to get the proper compensation. 'LJ' did a good job latterly with the license we gave him. I wish him well for the future. People have talked to me about loyalty, but things have to be kept in proportion. The only meaningful loyalty is that shown to our club. In that regard our fans lead the way. Often we are divided in our views relating to how things should be done. But when the whistle blows, we are united. That's how it should be."
Re: It would be very very interesting to hear what Patrick has to say about LJ leavin I think that's very well constructed from PC
Re: It would be very very interesting to hear what Patrick has to say about LJ leavin is that just in case anyone was incapable of clicking the link?
Re: It would be very very interesting to hear what Patrick has to say about LJ leavin Ar, he's no pig tattie, despite what some on here think.
Re: It would be very very interesting to hear what Patrick has to say about LJ leavin Very good statement by PC who I actually feel for appointed Lee Jay when the rest of us were thinking Lee who. Then stuck by him after a terrible run. Then Lee turns it round and shits on pats loyalty, I trust who ever PC see fit to take us forward.
Re: It would be very very interesting to hear what Patrick has to say about LJ leavin i was actually more annoyed at cryne a few months ago for showing a 'couldnt care less' attitude. it was clear that johnson was taking us down at that time with his naive rubbish tactics, and do you all believe that cryne stuck with him because he thought he was good enough ? (if he did, then that is an absolute master stroke on his part). no i think he did it because he either couldnt afford to sack him and pay him off, or he couldnt be bothered anymore and would have stuck with him even after relegation just to prove some sort of point.
Re: It would be very very interesting to hear what Patrick has to say about LJ leavin I was confident we wasn't going down under Johnson even when it was bad we were losing by the odd goal and hammering the teams on chances and posesion crewe Shrewsbury for example. I think Pc stuck with him because we have the right structure with recruitment and players in place and he trusted Lee would come good. Shoot me down but I think if he had stuck to his 3 year contract with us he would have had us promoted before his contracts was up. Shame he sold us out for Bristol City but I trust patrick to replace him with someone who fits the criteria.
Re: It would be very very interesting to hear what Patrick has to say about LJ leavin thats fair enough redrum, and i also think we could have been onto something special here had he stuck with us. remember we made such an effort to stick with him through all the bad times (and yes i know a lot of those losses were 1-2, we werent exactly being thrashed). but they were still losses at the end of the day against appalling lg one teans who we should be beating.
Re: It would be very very interesting to hear what Patrick has to say about LJ leavin I agree still losses his time is over now just hope the players aren't affected him repaying that loyalty would have been nice
Re: It would be very very interesting to hear what Patrick has to say about LJ leavin yes a bit of loyalty would have gone a long way, but sadly lee has shown none and hes gone now. its hard i know but lets just try to forget about him, our season starts/continues later today with a game against a certain former favourite called Flicker.
