    Does this make sense - City couldnt sign Lampard and play him in the CL but they can get their affiliated club to sign him and then get them to loan him back to them?

    Not sure why they want him like but this does seem a bit dubious if its what they are doing

    They've got two clubs to do it with too, one in New York and one in Sydney.

    Impose whatever rules you want but the fact is City have enough money to find away around it and if they can't do you think they'd think twice about giving a back hander to UEFA/FA/SKY/MEDIA?
