    Simon Davey applied for the Preston job whilst in control of their academy, when Billy Davies ended up getting it.

    It was never in the press, but Davey was sacked on the spot by Davies simply because he knew Simon'd applied for the job and saw him as a threat.

    Gospel according to a bloke I know who has worked at Preston, but the press never found out the truth.

    it wasn't said directly at the supporters meeting but there was definitely an air of "we have something to prove to Preston" ! lets hope actions speak as loud as words tomorrow!!
