Because Rowing came from S****horpe its clear while were in the Championship his head is dizzy with the success he never dreamed of. And it'd making him act all crazy. With a bloke in charge like him what hope is there to ever be a success?
Cos it's not been a privilege, its been a right based upon being (just abart) good enough to stay up every year.
Despite us struggling year after year I wouldn't have traded that with time back in league one and considering the excitement and unpredictability of this league I can see where he is coming from.
The problem here is that people don't like Don so decide to take what he says and make it into something that's it not.
Spot on dys. He meant nothing by it other than it has been great to be part of this league. And it has, hopefully we will be here for the next 7.
I am not one of those fans that thinks everything that Don says/does is garbage. BUT....... His image and management skill set is NOT in-line with a Championship club. This TV interview would be a great example of where Don should be saying "BFC are the longest serving Club in this tier of english football and we will do what Barnsley folk have always done and that is fight to the bitter end for our survival. We will survive, we know how to survive, we've done it before and we will do it again.". I know it's all about context, but if Don gets a chance to wear his heart on his sleeve, then he should do it. I know for a fact that I would, along with all of you on this BBS Board.
but he didnt , im sure he might have felt that way. why dont you go down to oakwell tomorrow evening tyrone? theres an ideal chance to call him names face to face.
Don is holding a supporters meeting at Oakwell on Tuesday. Why don't you go and tell him what you think of him to his face? Particularly as you can not even spell ****wit. It's not okay for Keith Hill to criticise supporters, but it is okay for supporters to post offensive names and comments about club staff on the internet? I'm sorry but I don't think that's right. It's cowardly and it gives this forum a bad name. If you feel so strongly go and let him know how you feel. Tell him where he's been going wrong and how you would do his job much better.
Unfortnatley I am in the midlands for the next couple of days. If I had been aware of this earlier than now Iay well have gone
I think he is right, it has been a privilege for him to have been in charge of a Championship club like Barnsley for the last 7 years.
