I've been reading through Enoch Powell's "Rivers of Blood" speech. OK the repatriation bit was a tad reactionary but a lot of the rest is nothing short of prophetic. There, that should do it.
As we have discussed before,I believe that there is much wrong with so called "Political Correctness" in this country I would scrap the CRE etc or at least change it to Commission for Equality...a lot of all this is about perception and many many people get their perceptions from the overtly right wing media that exist in this country,each with their own special axe to grind. Powell's words have been made to have seemingly come true beacuse people have overreacted to them and tried to ensure he was not right. The only way toget it right is to say **** em to the softies and **** em to the BNP, the Media etc and get to calling a spade a spade..ie if a black man is an evil ****...he's an evil man...lets not be scared to say that
RE: As we have discussed before,I believe that I was once watching a report of an attack by three youths on another with a CID mate of mine and he said, "They're black." When i asked him how he knew he said, "Because they didn't say they were white." It's changed now but who knows how much damage was done by that particular example of media stupidity while it was in place?
That's the kind of thing I mean.. just beacuse someone is black(or white) should not mean youc can't call em for what they are.. it's when their skin colour etc defines what they are automatically that is wrong..
