Especially after yesterday. He did one poor one yesterday, most were very good. What is particularly odd to me is how people criticise this, yet fail to mention how many times our outfield players give the ball away, cross straight behind the goal, hit the first man with corners etc. I'm pretty sure that most of our other players yesterday mis-directed or mis-kicked the ball more than Steele. He was superb all round yesterday, despite not being fully fit, and almost certainly having less than 24 hours' notice that he'd be playing. Goalkeeper is the only area of the field where we have little concern yet people keep going on about it!
Wow. Branding someone a retard, because they have a different view from you? Not very Christian, is it!?!
Steele was our best player yesterday anyone who didn't see that must have had their Sunday eyes on not this Thursday ones.
Sadly, there are people are just sat waiting for him to make a mistake. Same with Bobby. The first mistake, they'll be all over this board like a rash.
As a retard, I think his kicking is crap. It is evident that he doesn't t practice his kicking, for if he does he has not improved in 6 years. The sooner we het a better keeper in (one who is also confident at corners) the better
He seemed back to his best yesterday, which was strange with him just coming back from injury. He pulled off a couple of cracking saves.
Where you been then, he was having extra coaching on his kicking under the Hill regime and it improved for a couple of months, but then floundered a bit and the odd mistake started creeping back in. He also practices kicking as part of his warm up routine before every game as do most keepers. Carry on generalising fella.
I gave Steele a 9 and most people on the board concurred. Worst I've seen was 8, which was harsh. Luke has full backing from me.
