Even when your team's not in it.

Yes I want Everton to win but even so.

    I know

    That really was utter torture.

I was saying during extra time 'don't worry we'll win if it goes to penalties' and wanting the full time whistle, yet when every one of our players stepped up I was convinced they were going to miss!

    They have !

All you have to do is score more goals during the first 90 mins than the other team.

I think it's the best way

No-one can complain, they had 120 minutes to score a fecking goal!

What would be a better way though?

Perhaps they should make penalty kicks more difficult, make them shoot from further away or something. (chinny)

Our penalty shoot-out in the playoff final...

That was probably one of the most nerve-wracking and best moments in my life! I was still shaking from the excitement for at least an hour after the game! :D

    Headers and volleys

One player teeing up the chips in from the corner of the penalty box where it meets the goal line, the other limited to the D of the penalty area. No defenders, just a keeper. Much better than penalties because it involves more footballing skills.

    not a bad idea, but.....

.......if it was a Johnstone's Paint Trophy match for example, it could take hours before they even get a shot on target!

I don't think Man Utd could cope with them being any further out! :D

I wasn't nervous until Akinfenwa missed...

... then I started to think "We could win this!"

But the feeling when Nick saved that pen!! Priceless!!
