How many matches did we go last season without a win
Was it 13???
And we still stayed with the leaders in that league
Why? - simple, because it was a crap league
If we go that many matches without a win in the Championship
Where do you think we will be???
And this season we start the season with a SMALLER squad....even though we have just gone up a league
So all you lot out there that are not concerned at the state of play at the TARN at this moment in time are either
1) Very nieve
Or
2) Dunt give a flying fooook

And all those that think I am just being negative - think again !!!

 

So do you think GS and AR aren't trying to sign people? I don't know what goes on behind the scenes, obviously you don't either, why not fooking get behind 'em and have faith that they will do what they can to make next season as good as possible, because i'm sure neither of them want to go back down again. I know the season starts soon but im adament more signings WILL be made, as everybody knows we need players in certain position,s but nudger m'lad, complaining and moaning won't help matters in anyway...bit of positivity never hurt eh?

 

Yes but

The players are there ........and they are on offer
But they are not coming to the TARN
You have got to ask why......any reasonable guy surely by know will be asking why we have been linked to all these good players but none have come
I think the problem is three fold
1) Players are much too expensive (this I can understand)
2) We have such a poor wage structure that no one wants to come. So this has to be altered.
3) AR and GS are not selling the club to players enough. These players can see that no one is coming in, they can also see no quality at the club - so they don't sign

To be fair...anyone of any class..e.g. horsefield is going to ge linked with every club in our league, therefore wage-wise we'll always struggle to match other teams, many of whom have had the money from the premiership recently to fund them, also how do you know AR and GS are not selling the club well enough, i'm sure many would always choose the 'bigger' clubs in our division regardless of what gs or AR say, too much is down to money which means we'll lose out. So what is needed is for our scouths to get out as much as possible, try and find a few gems, or have links with clubs to get fringe players on loan i would imagine
Regardless im confident we'll do ok next season, and what's more, im determined to enjoy it whatever happens!
So cheers up nudger and again...Have some faith lad!!

Where is the evidence that there is anything wrong with our wage structure? Or that AR and GS are not selling the club well enough? The club has brought in three players so far, none of which are "big name signings". But your comments are basically writing off these signings before they have kicked a ball just because they didn't cost enough money for your liking or have a big enough reputation. These players could turn out to be gems and even though we have a smaller squad than last season IMO we have a stronger sqaud as the players brought in are of a much higher standard than the ones that have left. A couple more signings and we will be fine. Stop complaining, we just got promoted remember!!

Being positive of course = not caring about my club (whom i may add have never been my home town club yet i've been a regular since i was 9 despite the distance and my dads ill health).

I talk to people all the time about TARN
i was talking to a couple of guys that go to every match
They used to go from the Dove but I think they all go from Maccys (old White Hart)now
These guys tell me that all there mates are going bonkers about the lack of signings at the TARN
This reinforces what I'm hearing about the TARN from everybody else that I meet
Then I come on here and its all (bummers) .......ooooohhh shut up Nudger dunt be so rude to our great leaders, lets all be confident about the team we have got

as i said in my first reply to you, everyone knows we are lacking in certain positions, so of course a few signings are essential, but rather than adopt your style and be negative and bemoan the efforts of AR and GS i've decided to get behind them and have faith that they can continue to better our football club as i truly believe they are

i agree with you about some. i would like to see some more players feel we are thin on the ground and not looking to press on. However there is plenty of time and the only aim is to stay in the division.

Just think you saying because people arent being negative like you and are hopeful we can stay up and trust the guys in charge, that they do not care about the club.

u really do type a load of nonesense nudger. this team got promoted last year and have kept all the players that wanted to stay. to those that left i say goodbye - u dont want to play so fine - we only want people that want to play for us. a team is far better with players that want to play for it. if u dont like what is happening buy the club and do something about it. get a new manager, get new players.
football is a business and we need to make money to survive. gs and ar have done well so far so lets give them time.
