rather than who do we want as manager. It could soon be the case that Mellon is the favourite in a field of one!
What makes you say that Harry? I can't see any signs of this at all. Both Warnock and Wilson have openly stated they would consider the job, so why don't we go and get one of them instead of dilly-dallying about with the Hill/Flitcroft/Mellon outfit, which has seen us toil and toil and toil.....
we've seen that cryne will put his trust in a caretaker. there's some sense to it. but i'm still in the 'clean sweep' camp. i genuinely think giving it to mellon is just gonna put him under immediate pressure. any signs of struggle and it will be 'took the cheap option, same old same old, part of the problem etc etc' i thought they would have had a replacement lined up, but appears they don't. surprised.
Considering and applying/accepting are two totally different things. The further adrift we get the harder it will get to keep us up and no manager worth his salt is going to take chance with what may in his eyes be a hopeless case. Just look back to last season and the O'driscol/Butcher fiasco.
I fully agree with that, Tom. I really expected that Wednesday's announcement would be the name of our new manager with Mellon having taken charge at Brighton to avoid too much disruption but it appears I, along with many others was wrong. I confess I don't know where we go from here but then, by definition, I'm not a proper fan as I don't go every week so I don't know what I'm talking about.
tbh i wasn't expecting anything on wednesday. always thought it was just a case of focusing on the brighton game. the mistake they probably made, was specifically mentioning the 4th. could have been handled better.
the manager we need wont apply, we will have to knock on his door cap in hand, will cryne, watkins and mansford do that, no idea personally
what makes you think everybody wants Wilson I don,t got us relegated then ****ed off wouldn,t touch him with a barge pole.
Really ? Blimey I thought he did a good job for us overall and left for better prospects at the time. He has had a good record as a lower league manager. Of all the candidates it is him mellons and at a push Colin for me
