Why did Davey think it was a good idea for JCR to play as a sweeper (he was often behind the defence) or at best a very defensive midfielder?
We should have murdered them when we went down to 10 men as the extra roomwould habe benefited JCR and discoa lot more than it would them but to make room for his new signing davey shoved our best attacking threat right to the back of the field. bizarre.
I thought it was a poor debut to be honest, not his fault though as it just wasn't the right game for somebody like him (after the sending off) but he should have made way for van homoet which would have allowed hassell to play as the defensive midfielder and jcr in his much better winger position.
I was also perplexed by the tactics of putting high crosses in to hume and then mostto on their own in the box.
Good effort from the players, poor tactics by the manager.

ps, muller had another shocker.

it meant that when JCR did get the ball he had to work twice as hard to get into attacking positions-a bit starnge
Am I wrong though? After the sending off the tactics were all wrong and very negative when we should have been going for it and taking advantage of them losing their most dominating centre back.
No you're not wrong
The tactics on Saturday were very strange. JCR was totally wasted in that role and we should have played two up front, certainly after the red cards.
