They base the price on the cheapest ticket they offered during the season

Nobody in the championship charge anywhere near £15.65

The article says it includes season tickets and concessions and is the average for all tickets at all matches.

Lies Dam Lies and Statistics. As season ticket sales will account for the majority of this and with kids youths being part of this I can understand how they get to this figure. A more interesting statistic would be to show the average cost charged for watching football away from home and the average cost for non season ticket holders. Then we will see this number rise into the mid £20's I would envisage.

Again, it specifically says it excludes those. Read it, it tells you exactly how the figures are based!

Still doesn't mean its not boll***s though, if you ring any clubs fans certainly in div 1 and the championship and asked them how much they paid on average to get in do you think they would tell you that ? its using statistics to paint a rosy picture that's all.

I sell Ferraris at my shop. The average cost of my Ferraris is £1.43. I also sell sugar lumps. You may have seen my shop, it's the Ferrari and Sugar Lump Emporium just up the high street. I've one in Leeds too called Ferraris and Sugar Lumps 'R' Us. I sell lots of sugar lumps but not many Ferraris. To find out the average cost of my Ferraris I divided the income I receive from sales by the number of items I sold. It came out as £1.43. Expensive for a sugar lump but damn cheap for a Ferrari. I'm very surprised I don't sell more of them.

You have to understand the context and reference to understand statistics. So to put it simply these prices are 20% too high.

"Oh no, we're not ****ing you over. Look, here's some evidence to prove it. I don't know where you got the idea that it costs more than £11 to see a game of football - maybe you miscounted your change?"

    Cheeky ****s.
