If you or anyone you know has any problems with debts, please have a look at this link: http://www.stepchange.org/DebtAwarenessWeek.aspx I work for StepChange Debt Charity, who provide free impartial debt help and advice for anyone in any kind of financial difficulty. We're the market leader in debt advice, and are one of only 3-4 organisations who provide free advice rather than charging extortionate fees. Having worked there a few months now, I cannot speak highly enough of the work that the Charity does. Our main web page is: http://www.stepchange.org/ - this contains information on how to start getting advice. We have already had over £100 million of new debt reported to us in just two days this week, so this affects anyone on here or anyone you know, please get in touch. Cheers.
And of course, Bolton are only actually £8m in debt, because the other £155m is just money they've borrowed off people! The latest and greatest piece of nonsense spouted by a man who has seemingly made a career out of it.
Personal debt to me is a big concern and with me not being able to find work, i find it very stressful. might give them a call tomorrow.
Fair enough Jay, however there are millions of people in the UK who are getting into a worse and worse financial position and do not know how to stop it getting worse. Debt Awareness Week is to alert people to warning signs of having 'problem debt', which is debt that they cannot handle. The key is to realise that help and advice is out there, and can be free with ourselves. On average, our clients have been in real difficulty for over a year before coming to us for help, when if they had known that help was out there and they had the courage to seek it, their difficult situation could have started to get resolved more quickly. By 5pm today we'd had £150 millon of problem debt reported to us since Monday morning by people who were not seeking help or advice previously, so the campaign is doing its job.
Apologies, I was being flippant. What your company does is extremely worthwhile. It was meant to be jokey, but reading it again the next day it just sounds arsey. Sorry.
