    Tickets for Saturday....

Went to get them after the game last Saturday and discovered that if you are a student with a valid NUS card you get a concession but WCU Tyke, who is 16, but still at school, has to have a full adult ticket or risk being refused admittance!

    Should have just risked it.

I'm 17 but got U16s, they never say 'owt anyway. And, usually U16s really means 16 and under.

I checked and it is UNDER 16! The problem is WCU is instinctively honest and when asked his age will tell the truth. I'm proud of him for that but it can be inconvenient (as at Oldham a couple of years ago!!). I just think that the ticketing is ill-considered if a 16 year old still at school has to pay more than a 20 year old student.

I think you're right, it seems that they didn't think it through properly. An under 16's/school bus pass should entitle the holder to the same discount as a student. Maybe nobody has pointed it out to the club yet because most 16 year olds just say 15? Might be worth a quick call to see if they'll allow school passes to act as student id.

I bought the ticket on Saturday.....

To be fair to the Box Office, they were willing to sell him a juvenile ticket, but had he been refused entry, just on the off chance, that would have meant that his sister and I would have had to leave too.
