...........and a guy toneet from Yorkshire on Look North / Calendar said..........its probably the biggest thing to happen to Yorkshire !!!!!!!

Hundreds of years of history........and yet a French thing involving bicycle racing is the biggest thing to happen to us !!!

Its French..........so anyone in their right mind is going to question that...........it also involves bicycle racing, which is a misdemeanour - isn't it the role of bicycles to have fun riding around a park?

LOL !!!.....this time next year who the foooking hell is going to remember these French foookers on their bikes?...............no one

Obviously the people on here that throw out WUM accusations at every opportunity are also the people that are unable to conjure up any serious meaningful argument to the debate.

If you think I am a WUM..........then you don't know me and have never met me

Then if you are serious, I apologise.

I don't think La Tour is very interesting also.

But maybe you should look at some of your posts. Many of which seem to be just to create an argument, or to wind people up.

You are also right in a way - my posts are my thoughts, even though some people think otherwise - but they are posted in a certain way to promote argument and debate - basically because I enjoy argument and debate.
But this has NOT got to be personal and abusive.

If we didn't have these arguments and debates then what is the point of this message board?

If I am being the Devils Advocate then I always try to remember to admit to that. But being the Devils Advocate doesn't happen often.

In my view the Tour De France is not part of British culture and yet the media are trying to push it onto us as some great event.

In saying that - any promotion of Yorkshire is a good thing

I think considering Tour de France is the worlds largest annual sporting event and it's comes to Yorkshire is a great thing and I'm proud to have, the money it will generate is fantastic for the area, any yes it's got people talking about it so it's fine it's job.

I've said from the start the biggest beneficiaries by far will be Leeds Harrogate and York in exactly the same way that East London was by far biggest winner from the Olympics

It's the biggest annual sporting event in the world so of course it's a big deal.

Pretty much the only ways of topping it would be the Olympics or the world cup

Its a load of Lycra clad men riding bikes. I'll be glad when it's all over and they've gone to where they should be - France.

Not really. This isn't something new. The tour leaves France most years for the first couple of years & has done for a long time.

What's it matter what they're wearing?
