I dunno what it is about OASIS but they just seem to "plod" a bit for my tastes. I prefer the original in this case. But then again, I would....
All Along The Watchtower Original by Bob Dylan Cover by The Jimi Hendrix Experience & also a cover by The Fratellis for Radio 1's made in 1967 album All quality!
The killers - Romeo and Juliet, The Stereophonics - Substitute At least two cover songs better than that one, and that's before I've even thought about the likes of Bob Dylan, Aerosmith and Rod Stewart. All down to personal opinion I guess
This gig sholud be on CD as well as DVD. Oasis in their prime Prefer this myself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxcdwzoOl8w&feature=related
Good call - Also Jealous Guy - Roxy Musics cover of the Lennon original Not many covers are better than the original but the above 2 are There are a few more but not too many That Oasis one isnt as good as the Slade orignal
Buffalo Tom - Going underground nearly, very nearly as good as the original http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4wadrXgY2E
Whiskey in a Jar by Metallica has gotta be up there... ...along with Foo Fighters version of Band on the Run
I've heard Foo Fighters..... Band On The Run - very good, Radio 1 Est.1967 is a good album for covers, generally some good stuff on Radio 1 Live Lounge as well!
I nominate Biffy Clyro doing either Take me out (miles better than the Franz Ferdinand original), or Go Your own Way
Marmaduke Duke doing Friday I'm in Love, originally by the Cure

RE: Megadeth - These Boots Were Made For Walking nt That was awful!! I think all Megadeth's covers have been pretty poor with I ain't Superstitious the best of the bunch
