.....so don't fix it. Leave it all be. Keep the existing management team in charge. Same routines. Same training and fitness routines. Same travel arrangements. Same dietary planning and all that guff. Same pre match and post match routines. Same recovery times. Same. Same. Same. We have momentum. We don't want anyone to come in and disrupt that. We don't need a new manager.....yet. By all means start the search but we're in no rush. Interview whomsoever might be interested, but leave this management and group of players to continue doing what they're doing without interfering. Leave it all be. If things go tits up then make an appointment. Not now. What we saw today was hungry aggressive and attacking football played with confidence and cohesion. These players have bonded and they know what their jobs are. We know our best starting 11. The players know their jobs. We pass and move and we go fwd. we play 442 and all the boys know the system we don't need anyone......for the minute ......to come in and try and impose other clutter on a motivated bunch. Lee who?
Just as we discussed today, 55&C. We have an outside chance of the playoffs, we're unlikely to get relegated now and there's nothing immediate needed to address regarding selection, tactics, etc. Any new manager couldn't do anything to the squad other than the odd loan now, so they would have to work with this group until the end of the season in any event. For once, I don't care if they took ages on this search. The important thing now is to get the right man in, and we have a group of coaches who can keep the continuity going in the meantime. I wouldn't be surprised if they ultimately left the caretakers in charge for the remainder of the season, and I'd have no arguments if they did. Given the circumstances there's little downside to giving them a chance to stake a claim for the permanent job, while taking the pressure off the long-term search process.
I don't see any downside to leaving Hecky and Wright in charge but rushing to bring a new man in could upset the apple-cart so leaving things as they are gets my vote too.
'Its not broke so don't fix it. Leave it all be. Keep the existing management team in charge. Same routines. Same training and fitness routines' Has anyone let 55&counting know that........the manager Lee Johnson has left the club ??? In other words........the approach will be different now. Its ok to think that the team is more or less training how they used to..........but a lot of thought goes into preparing players and tactics for a match........that process changed when Lee Johnson left the club. Have the people that are left in charge got the same football intelligence?
Of course they have nudge. Tommmy Wright and hecky and the rest of the management team have it in abundance. All they need to do us do the same as they've been doing for the last two months. It's not rocket science. It's just sticking to the basics.
Not decrying tactics as such..everything has it's use, but at the end of the day it's all about good players knowing what they're doing and playing well. We have now been top of the form guide over 12 matches, there are bound to be hiccups but ffs don't tinker with a winning formula.
