    So Chelsea are negotiating? For that read that they'll pay the Ghanian FA some cash.
    If you sign foreign internationals (particularly non Europeans) then you have to accept that there will be occasions when they are unavailable due to international commitments....FIFA should clamp down and ban Essien for playing for Chelsea whilst Ghana are in the competition

    There should be a rule which probhibits that

    There are many times when Money gives the wrong answer</p>

    The Ghanan manager will want to be able to pick his best team - not a team with some of his best players missing. - Doesnt do great things for team spirit either if some key players are only availlable for some of the games.</p>

    The Fans (who cares eh) but just imagine how we would feel if Real Madrid payed the FA to keep Beckham away .... OK bad example - try Rooney not playing cos ManU paid the FA dosh</p>



    Players themselves - I am certain they would want to play for their country in a prestigious tornament - If I was Essien I wouldnt be happy having to miss games but in a difficult situation as its Chelski who play his wages.</p>
