Nice restrictive options His players have bought him some more time which I think he deserves. 3 points fron the next 2 games will keep the wolves form the door, 6 may even shut up all but the most avid moaners.
Got to give him a little longer to turn things around now however another 2 or 3 defeats on the bounce and he will get the P45.
This is the first time I can recall a BFC manager's fate not being cut and dried Personally speaking of course, I'm sure plenty have already made their mind up (haven't you Albatross!)
I told anyone who's listen for weeks I wanted shut of him, never more vociferously than at half time Satdi. But I really don't know if sacking him now is a good idea.
Davey Negatives
-Tactically weak, often waits too long to make changes and his formations are sometimes shockingly ineffective
-Signs players and then decides he doesn't rate them
-Doesn't even seem to have a good relationshipwith some of the players that play well for him
-Media unfriendly- can't stand the local press never mind the nationals. Worse on that front since P Hart
-Clearlylacks inexperience, probably the most inexperienced manager in our league.

Davey positives (or reasons not to sack him)
-Most of the players are his signings so in theory should be behind him
-He's shown that he's got the ability to win very difficult matches- we seemed to do better against the top sides last season than the ones at the bottom end. And there's the cup run obviously.
-He's on a 4 year deal and would demand a chunky payoff if he was sacked
-We're always sacking managers

Clearly more reasons to get shut than for him to stay, but even still I can't make my mind up. If he hasn't got a meeting with Cryne this week then he bloody well should have, because turning this round will take action from top to bottom, starting with Cryne and ending with a motivated and fit squad on matchday. Cryne should be kicking arse and letting people know in no uncertain terms that this isn't acceptable.
I'll give him till the end of October. If there isn't a marked improvement by then, he's got to go.

Re: It's that time again - Davey Poll. sack him now, nowts changed apart from a freak result saturday, yes some players battled well in the 2nd half but first half and start of 2nd we was awful. daveys lucky and his record is very poor. we should now av been all excited at rumours and people linked with the vacant managers job. instead weve just delayed the inevitable.
