We're a goal down, but we're playing well and still very much in the game. But then Davey makes his usual tactical masterstroke. The same tactical change he makes in every game when we're a goal down. The only one he knows. The one that never, ever ******* works. He takes off a wide midfielder, puts on a striker and goes with three up front. Suddenly the team are totally disjointed. Instead of attacking Cardiff with our creative midfield players we start playing the ball long and it's easy for them to defend. The last half hour is plain sailing for the sheep ******** and they even manage another goal for good measure. Davey's done that in 90% of our away games this season. Why should Wembley be any different. Pass me the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors.
Has he made a substitution this season that has changed the course of the game in our favour? Other than maybe Scnuthorpe away
We do it at home too Those were the tactics when we found ourselves behind against Norwich and Sheff Utd. It's just we've not been behind that often. When we are, we use the exact same half arsed stupid ******* tactics.
was much later when Coulson came on he bloody played his arse off!! Man of the match in 15 mins for me. Without that performance from the young fella there would have been no cup run and perhaps people would have been calling for Davey's head?
I`m not. I dont care how many badges he has, Simon Davey is clueless when it comes down to tactical substitutions. Ritchie was bad with tactics but this one is worse.
Is anyone? I think we'd all agree that, on paper, this is a much better squad than we had last season. And so it bloody should be, we've spent £millions, where as Ritchie put together a squad on ten bob and a conker. Yet we find ourselves in exactly the same position as we did this time last year. If the players are better then there must be some serious issues with the tactics.
RE: Is anyone? Agree with you 100%. It's down to poor tactics away from home and bunch of wnak forrads.
RE: Is anyone? I think losing De Silva was a massive blow personally, I think we have missed him incredibly. I know he has played in quite a few of the away games that we have lost as well, but he also played in the most notable away win of the season, at Anfield. I think had he been fit for the run we would be safe, and safe comfortably. Still think we will stay up though.
