Anyone who has half a brain cell about football knows that managers always getting the rough end of the stick. I personaly am all for Hill and his ideas and trying to build a squad that can play football, it grates me deeply when i hear old folk shouting obsured comments like "stop all this tippy tappy and boot it up the field!!!!" Please get with the 21st century. Agreeable at times watching the boys play is like pulling teeth and I would rather stick pins in my eyes, However, the club for what ever reason whether truth or fiction needs a positive vibe from everyone. If, We, the fans get behind the manager the team will proform, unfortunatly players are like children they need to feel like there wanted, hard to swallow i know when good money is spent for tickets, sometimes though we need to suck it up and stop the bitching because on a saturday when I sit there listening to fans drip and moan like spoilt children themselves drives me crackers, what these people (NOT FANS) are saying is complete tripe. If we the fans believe in the manager the players will belive. And if Hill does go.............. who then??????????? Just another manager for us all to sit here saying the same old rubbish about AGAIN.............. The faithfull will always support through thick and thin, cause were Barnsley through and through.
Good point. However, firstly Hill needs to build the players up, make them feel like they are best players in the league. Not making comments like it will be a miracle if we make 50 points etc. As they will settle for that. There's too much of an attitude there's always the next game. Brian Clough made average players into superstars by making them feel like ten men. The forest fans didn't do that. Also we need a leader on the pitch. Someone who sets an example. Shouts and organises. That's not Wiseman. I don't underestimate the role of the supporters. But a positive manager is far more influential. At the end of the day positive thinking from fans never won a game. Good leadership does.
As first time using the forum, i curved what language i wished to use. I hate listening to fans dripping more than a cold wet winter tuesday night leeds away and losing 5-0.
Your spot on worthaknock, Was trying more to highlight something the fans could do for the squad and club. valid points but again, its same old same old, fans talking about issues that we will never be able to change unless...... (LIGHT BULB) your the next manager!!
Agree with most of that EB however you're going to need a tin helmet and a flak jacket if you're going to be in the pro Hill mob on here.
You do know that the pro-Hill mob are by far the largest dont you? Its the ones that dare to say they disagree with him that need tin hats !!!
The manager is with the players 5/6 days a week the fans pay for 90 mins or so if the manager cant inspire HIS players in 5/6 days to perform adequately for 90 or 180 mins a week then it ain't the fans' fault we are in the mire as we are.
agreed exeter branch. also worthaknock. i dont understand where you say we need a leader on the pitch. every single player should be a leader. they all have a mouth they need to start using it. it starts with number 1 and should go all the way through to number 99. we have the worlds quietest team. keith can only do so much. whatever team is put out lets start getting behind them, and the manager and together we will move up the league the players need to start taking responsibility for there actions.
