The system we play is his fault though.

When do our players actually take responsibility for not being able to do the basics. Whatever Danny does in the training pitch he can't make our players concentrate, that is down to them and their professionalism.

Of course it's Wilson's fault we can't defend, it's up to him to sort every area of the pitch out in pre season and beyond

He can't make them concentrate during the game.

    *playing devils advocate*

Danny signs the players and picks them in his team, though.

Yes and he picks the best team available to him but once they cross the white line the basics such as finding a simple pass, scoring from sitters, concentrating during open play, defending set pieces, etc, is down to the players. They are supposed to be professional players.

Ultimately, the manager will always be culpable for team results and performances.

It's his squad, his training sessions, his fitness regime, his team selection, his recruitment strategies, his tactics and his job to motivate the team.

It's a classic football argument that we've had time and again and it's easy to feel sorry for managers at times as they're not actually kicking the football. But there's nobody else as responsible as they are.

I don't want rid of Wilson any time soon though, unless relegation becomes a serious threat this season. Next season's a different story.
