Totally new to iTunes and could probably do with a tuturial on how to use it. In our household we have an ipod and iphone. Upto now just the ipod has been used on one apple id linked to my email to download free apps. After getting new iphone for son I have set up a new apple id to add a voucher so he can buy some apps.

Will i also be able to download the apps he purchases onto the ipod? (I think i can)
To do this must the ipod be linked to the new apple id ?
If so, will this delete all apps downloaded on the old id (not really a problem as they were all free)
Is it possible to have different apps on different devices whilst linked to same id?
If so, will this cause problems when synching either device to itunes on computer (will it add or delete apps)?

Sorry, but i really cannot grasp how itunes and the ids work

    TIA

You'd have to use the same AppleID (account) if you want to share the purchases between devices. You can have up to 10 devices to 1 account.
