    Why have Newcastle recalled him but not Armstrong at Coventry who's scoring for fun

    Maybe there's no clause in his contract to be recalled? I believe season long loans can only be cut short through injury?

    I'm only assuming to be honest though.

    Toney was hardly pulling up any trees and he was recalled

    Not sure how many Armstrong as got but he's scoring for fun

    I've seen some of their fans discuss this on twitter, few of them think because he's more physical and would bring more to Newcastle rather than just goal threat

    Because Armstrong has been at Newcastle for a long time and they know he has no future in the Premier League. Where as Toney is a new signing and they still think he has a future with them.

    Coventry have just extended armstrongs loan till end of season , they have done well with their loan signings
