Life's too short as it is I got better things to do than waste my time queing up down there. If there are some tickets later in the week, maybe I'll give it a go. Otherwise, can't say as I'm too bothered either way.
I agree If I can't just go in, buy tickets and go out, I won't be going to Liverpool. All this technology and we have to stand around in a car park for half a day on a workday in February. Dark ages!
It's unbelievable really On one hand the Club wishes to be seen as modern and professional in all other areas - and yet here we are again with a complete farce. Where do they think people get time to queue all day?
RE: I agree I have just got back home, didn't get my ticket, people said it will take up to 4 hours to get served. Couldn't wait half a day. You are right medieval organization at Oakwell, i'll stay at home and watch it on match of the day highlights. (N)
So have the staff been out and told everyone at the back of the queue to go home as they will not be served after 17:00...?
Its a joke. But I'm fairly optimistic that by wednesday things will have calmed and there will still be tickets remaining. It's my opinion that the club are deliberately creating the choas to generate interest. I cannot believe that they could be so incompetant to let this happen accidentally...surely...?? However the club should still have made it one ticket per voucher. No excuse for operating such an unfair, antiquated distribution mechanism Being a ST holder, centenary society member, went to sarfend and the blackpool home game I will be contemplating no ST next season if I dont get a ticket. It's a disgrace that non st holders are getting tickets in front of us.
RE: So have the staff been out and told everyone You would need a loud speaker to generate sound at the back. Didn't here anything.
Ive decided to try tommorow when it might not be as bad and if i dont get one its tough ,i just keep thinking about the result on sat and i dont feel as bad then.
Me and my mate are of exactly the same opinion - try later in the week and if they've gone then I'm not going to lose sleep over it, it's not the end of the world. I'd queue half the day for a premier league season ticket, or a play off final ticket, but no way am I doing it for a cup game - no matter where it is. And the fact that plenty of others will feel the same is the reason I believe that there will be plenty left until at least tomorrow night, probably Wednesday. I think that if you can walk in on Wednesday and get served straight away then those queueing half the day today may feel a little silly. And if they've gone, then I'll feel a little silly. Its a gamble - but life's like that!.
When they were dishing out tickets for the Playoff Final The people who bought them later on got better seats didn't they?
