Everyone else in the ground seems to want to get on his back, so I'm going the other way. Anyway, there were far worse players on the pitch today, weren't there Diego?

First 20 minutes, he looked shaky. After that, he was strong, commanding and inspirational.

He's always been slow, but he more than makes up for it with all his other attributes. It's just that, if he makes a mistake in our team - there is no one with any REAL pace to cover for him.

Diego played well for 10 minutes and then had a shocker.

Moore was played into trouble a couple of times, and made a big mistake first half which went unpunished, but he was nowhere near as bad in the 2nd half and defended pretty well. Souza had his best game for a while, as did Foster and Kozluk.

It was not convincing at all as an all-round performance, but it was a win that we desperately needed, and hopefully one that will give us confidence. With a 2 week break to come we can hopefully get JCR fit, Anderson closer to fitness, Colace's registration sorted, and have a much stronger looking squad come the Blackpool game.
