Exa Exactly that mate, a high pitched squealing. If I keep the radio on in the background, it is less noticeable during the day. It will pass, I am sure. Probably just a consequence of the coughing.
Sorry to hear of this, Andrew, old mate. I would imagine this particular year can't finish soon enough for you. All the best.
One of my colleagues is off with it and is in a bad way. She tested positive on Tuesday week before last and has just got a sick note for another week to take her up to the holidays. She’s had both jabs but is overweight which may contribute to the severity. Her husband and daughter has it now too but son doesn’t. He only had his (first) jab a few weeks ago though. I’m really surprised I didn’t get it as we work so closely but I only had my second jab at the end of August so I don’t know if the fact it wasn’t long ago helped, plus the fact that she wore a mask as soon as she felt sick (not Covid symptoms and was testing negative up until she developed a cough on the Tues). The amount of staff and students we have off at the minute is crazy but we never get to hear of it as school no longer does track and trace. What I don’t understand though is why the staff who haven’t been vaccinated aren’t isolating when they’ve been in close contact for prolonged periods. I’d need to check again, but I believe the law hasn’t changed for them just got fully vaccinated and children. It’s hard to keep up though so I may be wrong.
