for r lass' niece 8 years old. couldnt get 1 cos i couldnt prove she was under 16 a fecking joke barnsley fc
Try phoning. Whenever I do that for away tickets and ask for two adults and two juveniles they just do it and send them. Before we had season tickets they used to do it for home games as well but that was a few season's ago so it might have changed.
While I agree that you should clamp down on deliberate wrong ticketing. ....what would taking the little girl's proof of age solve? You could then give it to anybody. It would have been better if the person on the desk could have written an "8" in red felt tip, to show that the recipient is 8 years old. That should have solved the problem for the turnstyle, instead of a load of hassle for you, lost revenue for them, and bad feeling all round.
This is just the sort of thing that Gordon Shepherd needs to know about and act on. It's just some no brain in the box office cos it surely can't be policy. The proof of age needs to be shown when the ticket is used not when it is bought.
That is absolutely pathetic. Surely it's up to the turnstyle operators to check that out? The club gets crazier. If I buy a juvenile ticket on say the tube, or for a pantomime - it would be a stupid, stupid world if we had to prove the person we bought it for was under 16? What were you supposed to do, bring her birth certificate in?
If past performance is anything to go by, I wouldnt expect a response any time soon. Unless you know a top secret email address for the club that somebody actually looks at.
I've emailed the club a several times in the last few weeks. And had absolutely no problem with them responding - one reply was within 5 minutes. Are you sure you can use your email ff
This may be a first but...................... .............I think I actually agree with you on this one. OOB.
Can't understand that one? I've been down today for a ticket for my 9 year old, no problem, nor at any time in the past.
I've been informed that Mr Shepherd and Joanne are out of the office until Monday so hopefully I'll get a reply then. Cheers.
silly question but if the query was about the box office why couldnt the box office manager/supervisor clarify the position when the club recieved your question?
RE: silly question Because I e-mailed it to Joanne for her to pass onto Mr Shepherd. Rob Knowles e-mailed me to let me know they weren't in until Monday. My e-mail was addressed to Joanne and the chairman.
thats alright isnt it i might send a load of emails addressed to different people so rob has to walk up and down oakwell all day delivering them would that be too cruel?ff
