I've just read the BBC article on the way fixtures are put together

And I can't help but think that in the interests of transparency the questionnaires that the clubs fill in should be made public. That way we'd know if it was actually the club or the police who decides we play sheffield wednesday at 11am on a sunday morning for example and we'd see some of the reasons behind the decisions.

Anyone else think we should be able to see them?

    Yes

Then it'd give us something else to have a go at them about when we didn't play a game on the precise day that suits us best.

Generally speaking it seems to be the police that gets the blame for most of our strange fixtures so i'd just be interested in seeing what the police have actually said to the football league about our games that they havent said about sheffield wednesdays games for example.

I don't particularly mind sunday matches, in fact they suit me better so they can keep moving as many as they want to sundays for me.

Having engaged in dialogue with SY Police over this matter

    I'd say you've got 2 hopes. And Bob's dead.

It wouldn't be down to the police would it? The questionnaires belong to the football league

Me neither, it would just be interesting reading that's all.

By the way, fixtures look ok don't they. Away on last game of the season again though, whats that all about?

    Thats another interesting point

Or maybe not interesting. Would you be able to bet on whether we are at home or away on the last day of the season if in actual fact the club (or someone) requests we are away on the last day and so it is guarenteed to happen?

And I'll keep my eye on William Hill in case I see Mark Stokes go in. He's got a desk inside Oakwell you know.
