I know I'm probably in a minority but thats 2 and hours of my life I won't get back, definitely not my cup of tea.
you peasant see what I did there. Personally I thought it was superb, but then again I am a highly cultured person unlike you, you PEASANT
I have seen the film about 10 times, the 25th Anniversary show about 20 times, and the West end show once. Not because it's my thing either, but because my 9 yr old loves it. A bit weirs considering how miserable it really is. The stage show was very good, but I'd sooner watch something a bit more light hearted.
have you seen "The Rocky Horror Show" on stage went to see on Friday the 40th anniversary show....its FABULOUS
I lost the story after about five minutes as I couldn't be arsed with all the signing But would say it was a moral tale about nicking bread and then doing good.
Re: have you seen "The Rocky Horror Show" on stage No... not sure it appeals to be honest. Just a bit weird.
Re: have you seen "The Rocky Horror Show" on stage only one thing worse than watching that lovely person russell crowe. and that's watching that lovely person russell crowe singing like a lovely person. lovely person
I've just painted the drive gate. Not something I particularly enjoy, but give me that over watching Les ******* Mis any day.
Just the 60 million have been interested enough to see the stage musical. And the film has been regularly award nominated. Best get the car washed next, Phil Istine
I loved it. But I know the music and the story. My mum loves it and she always had the soundtrack on when I was a kid. In fact I reckon I know every word. 'It is time for us all To decide who we are Do we fight for the right To a night at the opera now? Have you asked of yourselves What's the price you might pay? Is it simply a game For rich young boys to play? The color of the world Is changing day by day...' Brilliant story though. Redemption, inequality, revolution, socialism - proper weighty themes. The novel is over a thousand page long and goes off on 100 page tangents about the history of the Parisian sewer system.
Probably the pick of a particularly poor twelve months of film It seems like I've been waiting for ages for something decent to come out. "I'm a cheeky cockney street urchin from Paris, guvna!"
Re: have you seen "The Rocky Horror Show" on stage I'm sure I'm not the only one who heard the voice of Gok Wan when I read that.
It is hard to follow, but when you watch it over (as I have had to), you pick it up. There are loads of mini stories in it, but essentially about a revolution by young students in France. The bloke who stole the bread went to prison for a long time, but came out and helped people, but is continually plagued by an inspector who wants to put him back in prison. He adopts a child, and his adopted daughter falls for the only young student who battles, and survives the revolution. The young lovers get married, and the father, the bread thief dies, having kept his promise to protect his adopted daughter.
