but I woke up this morning fully expecting to read that he'd been sacked. I don't understand what he has to do to lose his job. Granted it's a bit late in the season to get someone else in but at least we'd get that lift that teams get when they get rid of a sh*t manager that the players don't like. Wycombe away will be a fair trek next season.
that's the problem too late I'm not saying he deserves to stay, or that he deserves to go. All I'm saying is that if he was to go now the upheaval would do more harm than good. If we were going to change manager this season the time has passed for someone to come in and make a good go of it. Sort it out in the summer, he'll probably get the sack if we go down anyway and if not its up to Paddy C to decide.
I bet he wont get sack if we go down! as he is a cheap option and if he goes which decent manager would we get in league one
fair point could be that he is best option if we go down, given the quality of possible replacements and the fact that he knows the club and players. Sine relegation would be a big trauma maybe it would be useful to keep some continuity. Pretty difficult to sack him on promotion though
Not one step forward , on the pitch, since sacking Ritchie Signed a lot of players , quite a few better than what we had, but still fighting relegation. Crazy
Just thought you'd like to know Since Simon Davey signed his present contract, his league record is:- Played 62, won 17, drawn, 14, lost 31, goals scored 62, goals conceeded 87, points 65, points per game 1.048.
