Malinga (Sri lankan) shocking he is allowed to ball, this straight arm ****** the ICC say it fine. Its awful, its just not cricket, I looks worse everytime I watch him, its such an illegal ball its unreal. I love cricket and play it, I just can not watch him. ICC are wrong
That's it. This site has no more surprises for me. I've found myself (largely) agreeing with a post from BarnsleyBomber (sorry BB but you usually focus too readily on the negative for me). I don't know enough of the details to meaningfully challenge the official decision that it IS legal but I can't stand to watch it. I've turned off IPL matches rather than have to endure it. A friend of mine who is actually a Mumbai Indians fan (he has an excuse as he's from Mumbai) even agrees. If that's cricket then I don't want to watch it.
His "action" allows him to generate more pace and accuracy. He should also be banned from cricket because of his terrible hair.
can't stand watching him either, IMHO that action makes it far too easy for him to be faster and more accurate never can understand how he gets clearance
I'm not a cricket fan, and to be fair I know very little about cricket, but I was once watching the IPL at work with my old boss and even I said, surely you're not allowed to 'bowl' like that? He must only get away with it because they think it makes good viewing from a neutral point of view, to see him sling the ball as hard as he does, despite his technique being pretty dire.
Because it's hard. Try it. As long as the point of release is above the shoulder then it is a legal ball, there's nothing in the rules to say you can't bowl like that. It's harder to be more accurate at pace as the point of release is away from the eye-line of the bowler, meaning it's harder to judge the line of the ball.
the balls he bowls are legal. why are you lot getting in a tizz? his hair is shocking though il give you that.
