There's bound to be a few negative Barstewards that don't have enough bottle to keep the faith who are going to start moaning and talking about relegation now we've lost a game but the way I see it is this: - We played well in patches through the first half before the pitch deterioriated. If they hadn't got the penalty there is no way they'd have taken that 1-0 lead in at half time. - The second half Nyatanga went off and it made a big difference, that and the weather. You have to hand it to Hull though, they're a very good side and they have our number. They are definately worth their place in the league. - We kept fighting right until the very end. The game was dead and lost when they got the third, but we fought for that goal back - that's the spirit of a side that never says die. Never say die teams don't get relegated. There are three games to go, we have 52 points, a big six pointer on Saturday (against a side who are nowhere near Hull in ability) and one more win should be enough - maybe even a draw. Don't get drawn into the pessimism - get behind the lads, they're doing a good job.
agree with all you say, they werent that good in the first half, but they stepped it up after half time, we couldnt match them. they desrved a few bookings, but the ref let them get away with taking yards at throw ins, free kicks and as much time as they wanted for ought else, as well as a few tasty tackles that we have seen players booked for.

It's a bit difficult to argue with that. If you want to have a pop at Hull for not being a very fashionable or well thought of club, you're no better than the tosspots that did the same to us when we got promoted to the top flight. They're up there for the end of the season run in - fair play to them, they've beaten enough sides to get there and it has been a bloody tough division this year. As for 'we've lost our way' - maybe I should refresh your memory? We were in the pub league two seasons ago, we survived last year by the skin of our teeth, and this season has actually been an improvement. Maybe you have lost your way?
Agreed. After 43 Games... ... the table cannot possibly lie. Every team deserves to be exactly where they are. Maybe without injuries and the cup run we would have been higher but we deserve to be where we are and so do Hull. They looked a bit like a set of dirty barstewards but good luck to them we would be happy if our lads tackled and thought like that. Oh, and Steele should have saved the third - no one seems to have mentioned that. Made a coupld of good saves otherwise though.
NO ive not losted my way but surely with the players we have its a dissapointment, the League don't lie, we have players who should be Knocking on the door of the PREMIURSHIP but thet are languishing at the bottom of Division 1, you tell me whats wrong . ITS NOT S.D
From what I can see we have maybe one player who is and should be knocking on the Premier League door. The rest, I would say, as a unit are capable of finishing mid-table and are unlikely to draw attention from the top flight. We have seven teams below us and I'd take that on the final day with both hands. As far as this run in goes the lads have done very well to take six points from a potential nine. Nobody is knocking S.D. - or at least, I'm certainly not. As you say, the league table doesn't lie, and with the form Hull are in, I never had us down for anything out of this game and I would have been dancing in the streets if we'd got a point - over the moon. My sentiment is that we should never have been counting on three points tonight, more over we don't need to be counting on three points - this defeat is not going to relegate us. It is all about what happens on Saturday against Leicester.
still be saying that on saturday if we get beat, you,ll be shittin yerself same as the rest of us.history tells yer barnsley never do anything easy and we still won,t be safe after saturday.
