it was on about match tickets (away). IT amazed me how hard it is to get an away ticket at some clubs. 40 odd quid to become a member at leeds and they have very little chance of ever getting tickets. Thats why so many come to Barnsley in my mind, because a lot of them know its one of the only chances they have to watch leeds away that season. Also the bigger clubs. IF your a red member of Aresnal, it said that means you have a chance of getting tickets a month before the match but they sell out in minutes of going on sale. There was a fan of Manchester United, she'd been a season ticket holder for a long time, think she said about 20 years. And anyway, she signed up to this deal that means she's got to get every home ticket and shes gets a chance of getting away tickets but she said shes only had something like 1 away ticket for 1 away game and when she phonedthe united ticket office (which made the oakwell one sound like a bril ticket office) they just say it's nothing to do with them, its the computer system. Did anyone else listen to it?
Re: Ive talked about it already, but did anyone listen to talksport from 7PM last nig Didn't listen to it, but that's what you get when clubs have big support. You don't get that at the vast majority of clubs though. Most away support will be similar to ours, unfortunately.
Re: Ive talked about it already, but did anyone listen to talksport from 7PM last nig My mates a Man U season ticket holder and the system is a ballot based on how many league, cup, European games you've attended. He managed to get a Wigan ticket. Have mate that supports Millwall. Can be difficult to get tickets there too. We're quite lucky at Barnsley.
Re: Ive talked about it already, but did anyone listen to talksport from 7PM last nig Surely it can't be that difficult. Only for West Ham away i would have thought?
Re: Ive talked about it already, but did anyone listen to talksport from 7PM last nig If its a tasty away day say like Newcastle for example they have a category system. It's based on how many banning orders you've had. Five + and a season ticket. First in line
Re: Ive talked about it already, but did anyone listen to talksport from 7PM last nig No. You have to be a member. It's a way of keeping the morons out. He's always moaning how difficult it is to get a ticket.
Re: Ive talked about it already, but did anyone listen to talksport from 7PM last nig I take the lad to the odd Arsenal match. We get occasional comps or borrow a mate's season tickets. I took him to see the pre-season tournament season before when Thierry Henry played for New York. I git tickets and they were reasonably priced but had to get a member to order even them! Luckily he's cooled slightly since Fabregas and now RVP have deserted his beloved Gooners. He likes us too, but ee are definitely second fiddle.
Re: Ive talked about it already, but did anyone listen to talksport from 7PM last nig I heard it, its only really a problem for the big clubs. Man U. Man C, Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Everton etc..it only becomes a problem for teams like us when we get to the prem or a semi final etc.
