Even though DW was installed as manager nothing much has changed the formation etc. has stayed the same, players who were out of favour under Flitcroft & Mellon are still out of favour and haven't been given a chance. I don't think they were kept on for continuity purposes I think DW was brought in to appease the fans maybe get bums on seats at the time of half season tickets sales. There didn't seem to be the new manager effect when Danny came in, was that because he wasn't giving the orders? Why sack the assistant manager and not the manager when results have still not been good. Maybe we will see a difference next match, I hope so! Lets hope the new manager effect happens soon and we can get out of this. I am an optomistic pessimist at this point in the season.
Interesting thoughts, mate. After the Derby game me and my dad were in the Legends suite as we had some family over from Aus who were watching the game from in there, whilst we were up there Bobby was walking around the tables etc chatting to the fans, my dad managed to collar him over for a chat and he asked him whats it like now Danny is back compared to Flitcroft, is his style much different? Bobby just smiled and said "If i'm honest none of us have had much to do with him, he just stands and watches your every move in training. He's nobody's mate and doesn't speak to anybody unless he has to." So was Danny being the observant type just him working out who and what he's got to work with or was Micky still holding the reins so to speak and controlling everybody from behind, after all he was brought in by Flicker.
Danny Wilson is a manager so I doubt he'd have agreed to come back if he had to play second fiddle to the assistant of the previous manager.
Dannys not daft , he can see the writings on the wall for this season, he's getting rid of the job competition
