    IMHO should have signed him in the summer. Did a cracking job for us last season and would have been perfect to lead line as lone forward. And fans favourite!

    7 goals in 5 so far this season... Take a bow son.

    Said exactly same yesterday,screaming out for a big lad such as him ,I actually asked him if he was stopping with us end of last season when I met them all in dressing room ,I think he knew then he wasn't going to get a contract..shame

    The general consensus was he was too old and wasn't good enough for us.

    Easy to say we should have signed him in hindsight.

    Different scoring goals a division lower. His experience is serving him well. Back up a division and he would go back to 7 a season.

    It's not hindsight though ,we already had him playing for us just needed a pen and signature.

    Can't really understand how wilkinson has replaced him!

    He didn't score 7 in 5 for us or ever look like taking this league by storm.

    We had the foresight to sign him to start with LJ Knowing how he wanted to play now .would have been perfect up front now holding ball up and a target man fro set pieces long throws etc.

    Might be wrong here but Sam looks spent in this system and wilkinson at the moment doesn't look like he can cut it.

    jabo could have been the difference yesterday

    7 a season wouldn't be a bad return if he managed to keep the ball in the opposition half and bring our attacking players into the game....

    Never mind Jabo. We should of signed up George Waring instead of Wilkinson. Although I do think there is the potential of a good player in Wilko he just needs to throw himself about more. 2nd half at Killie he was challenging for every aerial dual and won pretty much every header including a very good header for our goal.

    Just my opinion,
    Although I support all the players every week I have never been in the club that winnall is a great ,sorry. He's just not my type of striker that's all.But a great ambassador he is and never shys away from a shift and graft at that.BUT I feel a JAbo type character is what we need in this system,possibly why LJ took him to Oldham as well.

    What ever if its Sam upfront on his own we know he'll give his all ,but I fear his all wont be that affective the way we are playing

    A lot of us did. Would have been ideal for us with our current squad, even if he didn't score many he would be decent off the bench.
