Agree completely... JD and a single ice-cube, same with decent Scotch, otherwise why bother? Have recently discovered bourbon (Jim Beam), ginger ale and lime though - some gooood sh*t!!!
If whiskey could be improved by putting stuff in it ......they would put it in the bottle Neat and only neat Half to full bottle in a sitting is about reight Especially if its good stuff Not paint striper such as Bells or Teachers that you can buy at the supermarket Best I've ever drank was from a little whiskey shop on Princess Street in Edinburgh
my mate and j2o Went down to a bar in Sheffield a few years back. j20 was on offer at a quid a pop, so between 8pm and 1045pm he'd knocked back ten of the things. Last orders came and I went up to get the final round - asked him if he wanted the same again - to which he responded - "nah, I think I'll have a pint this time. I've these things don't seem to be getting me very pissed". Classic muppet.

Nowt wrong with ice in in it fellah... Most good whiskey guides recommend ice - it brings out the smell and taste. Saying that I'd rather have it neat than with coke or whatever - don't see the point in supping the stuff if you're gonna pollute it...
