I believe he's had a good season out on loan in Scotland. Though it wouldn't surprised me if he's on a free, there'll be a few clubs looking at him
Yes but we know what his ability is - he’s more than good enough. He isn’t available on a free though, his contract expiry posted online for this summer is the end of his loan. He appears to have another year left at Luton.
Thee most improved position in the last ten years.. plenty of good young or not so young keepers about..
Thought we got the better of the deal when he went to Luton. Wouldn’t be too bothered about him coming back to be honest.
He recently said he is extremely happy here at United. Said his family have settled in well and enjoying living by the beach. I’d expect United to keep him here.
A few months ago I was wondering how we’d be able to convince him to sign permanently…. I think I’d still want us to sign him now to be honest. He’s been poor in the last couple of months and let some shockers in but I think he’s still won us more points than he’s lost.
He was at fault for 2 on Friday night, I'm not sure now he was great 1st half of the season but has really been poor of late.
The second is equal to blame with him and Williams in my opinion. If Williams gets his header right or deals with it before they, it doesn’t rely on Roberts. The third he was poor but he had just made great save one on one before that leading to the corner.
Brad would have mopped up that through ball to their striker. If Roberts hadn't made the save, he'd have got stick for not doing his sweeper job.
True. But we don’t have our team, and defence in particular, pushing up the pitch and keeper as a sweeper anymore.
If we do go for Williamson then Jamie Cumming from Chelsea (currently on loan at Oxford) is out of contract and is known for his ability to play out from the back. If they want a more experienced option then Matt Macey is also available on a free from Pompey. I am a big fan of Luke Southwood (Cheltenham) and he's also available on a free but he's injured with a broken leg at the moment.
I like Southwood too and was hoping his name would get mentioned in relation to us. Didn’t realise he had a broken leg though, that’s a bit of poor timing for him.
Why would Jack want to come back here, we have to think about whether they/the players want it as well.
Awful timing. I suspect he'd have had plenty of suitors in L1 this summer without the injury. Sure I read it happened in the final game too, awful luck.
