On the bench for Scotland. I remember him coming on as a sub at Scunthorpe during Stendels time and thinking he had potential but never thought he’d be an international player in such a short time. Good lad, hard worker, well done
Its interesting, I saw him and Victor playing for the U23's against Portsmouth and based on that one game Victor looked the better prospect. the way Brown has progressed is surprising though I am pleased for him - wish we still had him, though whether he would have got his call up playing for us is a bit more debateable
Scotland playing some decent stuff. Mind you Moldova are equivalent of a northern premium league side.
Not sure how you can even quantify that, considering the sheer volume of sh it decisions we've made within the last 5 months alone.
Yes but imo it was a terrible decision. Barnsley St peters was much better with him Bfc Investment Company Ltd was better selling him
If we'd sold him for £10 million it would have been a terrible decision? Get real - all you're liable to be miffed about is the price. Which we can all have a chinwag on. Personally speaking, he looks a lot better at Stoke than he did with us. He is/was probably on an upward curve. And maybe he'd have been the type to do well under Val. But he was OK for us when you averaged the games out. Inconsistent. Always tried his best.
Blimey, if Jacob Brown was inconsistent then what's this lot been like this season? I miss Jacob Brown's energy and enthusiasm. He always gave 100%. Can't be said for anyone this season. Let's hope the new Head Coach can get them playing something like their best
I know what you mean. The Club is brilliant at the minute isn't it - I don't think there's anything to be annoyed about. Back on topic, congratulations Jacob. Loved him at Oakwell. Sorry, Grove Street.
I'm gonna be honest, I think you're allowing your (perfectly reasonable) negative perception of the owners colour your perspective here. We sold Brown for what many would have agreed was a decent fee at the beginning of a season when there was a clear need to raise funds due to the uncertainty of Covid. Not many clubs threw around much cash that summer. 4 months later we brought in Carlton Morris for a tenth of the price, plus Dike on loan, and were in a far better net position on the pitch as a result. Jacob was my daughters favourite player and I rated him highly so was sad to see him go, but even with the benefit of hindsight I would say it was the right decision to sell. I think he'd have been excellent in Ismael's system, but you'd be going some to have done even better than Morris and Dike..
Got nothing but respect for Brown. Grafted his ******** off & gets the maximum out of himself. Hope he continues to do well
Wasn’t going to bite , but have a word with yourself FFS. If points were only awarded for effort we’d be just fine this season.
Which games have you been watching this season then? Points awarded for effort, my goodness... Have a word with yourself FFS
I’ve Watched most of them, of the problems with the team this season effort is not an issue is the point I’m making.
