    Furry muff

But I hope chasing money also helps his career develop. Good luck to him whatever.

Complete faith in Daveflickhillkeither to absorb the loss and move on. Not season threatening like the loss of Hammill...

I seriously doubt he would be daft enough to say that to anyone - Why risk blowing the deal if it was worth that much.

All professionals have code of silence when it comes to internal goings on and wages etc..

Taken with a pinch of salt

    £250K "Best possible deal" etc...

If he's gone in Jan would hope that could negotiate sell ons or somesuch at least.

    Fair enough

Was after the scum game on Saturday in Silks.

Of course, he might have been having a wind up, but that's pretty much word for word what he said.

I think you over estimate the level of intelligence in footballers to be honest - most can't even follow the law never mind a code of silence!

    Re: Fair enough

was just about to say the same... if jacob has been speaking to prem clubs he's been tapped up..... now if his agent has said to him " jacob i can get you 4 to 5 times that much from a prem club" then maybe he hasn't

If JB is daft enough to believe hes good enough to go play in the prem right now then good luck to him... make sure he asks for Adam hammills expert guide to warming the bench on his way out

You've clearly never met Brian Howard after he's had a beer then.

    I don't agree with that

I think we do get as much as possible, that just isn't a lot.

We've a habit of getting our best players on a 2 year deal, so by the time they've settled in, they're nearing the end of their contract and we get peanuts for em.

Honestly cannot for the life in me see him end up somewhere like everton or stoke. More than likely a wigan or a Blackburn and if that's the case his premiership career won't last long.
Still fifthteen grand a week can buy a nice cushion for a bench.

And I think Hammill was a better player...

As much as I like him, I think Butterfield is miles away from being a starter for a Prem side. I dont even think he would be a regular starter for some of the clubs in our league.

Money talks though and I doubt he will be here next season
