what do you think will happen to him when/if hamill and emil fred comes in,cos id like him to play most games based on his last 2 performances but colace will be back fit soon aswell so its guna be hard for him to break into team again.

Keep him in the team, Colace and Halfreddson will have to earn the shirt.

Expect Hammill to take over from Devaney.

    He'll get his chance

Might be on the bench but Davey will give him more chances, especially after yesterday.

i'd like to see jacob given a decent run in the team, after yesterdays performance he deserves to keep the shirt for now,it can only
be a good thing that we have competition for places in midfield,i think that devaney has shot his bolt,he didnt beat a man yesterday
nor did he beat a man in the citeh and frickley games, lets hope hammil signs and then can pick up where he left off

Devaney has been a loyal servant. I'm not part of the gang who wants to see him dispatched. Admittedly he didn't have the best of games yesterday but then again which ones did? Why pick on Devaney? Campbell-Ryce and Kozluck were far worse and Foster didn't have the best of games either. Disco never gives anything other than 100% and maybe you have forgotten who it was who provided the cross for Butterfield's goal!

lets not get carried away. Butterfield has done OK in the City friendly and yesterday from what I've seen, but he's hardly bossed the midfield. He's neat and tidy in space but gets knocked off easily. Heard someone outside the ground say he needs to beef up a bit and I agree. He also took his goal well and that can only give him confidence.

He's only a young lad, so he should be more than happy if he gets 10 starts and another 10 off the bench this season, and if he does well in those, then we might well have a decent player on our hands next season to compete for a regular spot.

tina i have been a firm supporter of devaney i've defended him a couple of times on here and yes he does give 100% and yes he did provide the cross but it was meant for macken BUT that was his only contribution to the game also what does it matter that he's been a loyal servant to the club that doesnt give him a devine right to pull on a shirt every matchday 3/10 for yesterday

Can't argue with any of that.

I stated he had a poor game, but why pick on him entirely? There were far worse out there yesterday.
