    Fact is, he is overrated. 100% would take Bailey and Hourihane every day over him. Usually a bit miffed when other sides sign our players, but the 2 we have beat mellis and perkins hands down.

    I assume now they are signing players that their odds to be relegated will have grown, thus be even better value for money.

    I thought we still could. I thought you get like a month that the deal has to be on the table for and then you can take it away and still get compo. This then stops a player from holding the club to ransom thinking "I can get more off my new club when the offer is taken away because they won't have to pay my old club compo".

    We couldn't have offered him any less than he was already on. Maybe he threatened to sign it but at the the same time intimated he wasnt interested in playing for us anymore. Perhaps by this point we realised our budget wasnt what it was?
