Seen one, only 2nd hand. Gonna go have a look at it. Might go cheap though and get a Fiesta. Not sure yet.

A jag or a fiesta? Are you not considering anything inbetween?

Had an XK for a couple of years, top quality, no problems mechanically but had to get rid as I moved to a house that was off road for a third of a mile and there wasn't enough clearance. Brother had an older estate model and had to get rid because it was too pricey to run and service (he has a decent job, one kid double income, etc.)

Expensively thirsty, servicing not cheap but only every 2 years or 12,000 miles for mine, and hey, it's a Jag! TBH if you have to ask about the price for a top end Jag you can't afford to run it.

    This is a 54 plate X type, 2.0 V6.

I'm swaying towards something smaller atm.

I am currently on my 3rd X Type, to be honest I wouldn't drive anything else. I am seriously considering getting an XF next, they are class (IMHO).
The X Type I have now is a 2 litre diesel it costs £140 a year in tax, £315 a year to insure, as for servicing I use Bell Lane garage in South Elmsall. He is a trained Jag mechanic and is very reasonable (has a Jag stamp as well) I can't really say what they are like for parts as I have only ever needed brake pads, oil etc. I had a set of pads fitted last month and it cost £55 for the parts, fitting and the tracking being checked.
I would strongly recommend them they are quick and lovely to drive even though mine is a baby Jag people still seem to think of them as something special. My advice would be go for it mate, you will enjoy it.

I like this. Looking forward to the day you decide to move house. I'm either going to get Buckingham Palace or a terraced house on Grove Street.

Fall into the category of "If you have to ask how much they cost to buy or run...

...you cant afford one. In the words of Thereev "hope this helps" .
