He isnt banned for life just till March Dont see a problem with the 4 months sentence, sack or suspension - unprovoked assault is just that whether on the street or at work
Well Lets......... just say he already had a reputation at the club before that incident happened and something like this was always going to be the final straw. Only so much a team can take with his history behind the scenes.

I'm surprised to hear you say that he had a bad reputation and that this was the final straw! Where have you read/heard that? I used to knock about with James around the time he went to Scnuthorpe. He was brought up in Silkstone Common. I was shocked when I saw what he did in that match - it was a disgusting incident. I was so surprised because my memory of Cottey is that he a really quiet, placid, decent young lad. I wouldnt dream of saying that he hasnt got what he deserves, but the reputation you speak of is nowt like what I know. Sorry if i've missed a posting which explains that he is Mr Nasty, but if that is just a random comment - I think it might be wrong.
