I'd heard something about some concerns about his mobility/speed which would potentially limit his potential to play for us in the style that we're wanting to play, but that was just a murmuring. Don't think we've seen enough of him to be able to judge but certainly think he didn't let us down in his brief substitute appearances. Might be one that we'd have kept if we stayed in League One, I'm guessing.
Shame that. Not seen anywhere enough of him, and that he didn't force his way into the side more probably says a lot. In his short time, he seemed to gel, leading celebrations ay wembley and has probably had the time of his life. Hope you get a club Jak, best of luck.
Little bit gutted for the lad. Not because I felt he was good enough but because he seemed to fit in really well with the lads and had all the passion in the world. Really hope he finds a good League 1 side to continue his development.
Shame, but this is one of the downsides of getting promoted. Are you only allowed a certain squad size, or is that just the Premier League.
TBH when folks been saying re-Brownhill leaving.... we're ok in that position there's McCourt to come in... I thought then what evidence do they have to support he's any good. He's only played about half n hours first team football... What he as done is got on a hell of photos and vids, I'm not having go, but on this transfer policy of ours .. lets have a look at these younger players.... they'll be a hell of a lot that don't make it.. I'd say if we get 2-3 out of 10, who end up playing 50 games for us we'll do well...
For the dressing room slide in his budgie smugglers alone, I'd have given him a new deal. You know, just know, that it was him who set off the alarm at the team hotel on Sunday night. Lad.
Seemed to be a good "team player", but perhaps not actually good enough for next season. It was noticeable how both he and Nyatanga were prominent in the celebratory photos and videos at both Wembley appearances. What about Lewin then? Presumably his contract hasn't run out yet, but it wouldn't surprise me to see him leaving "by mutual consent" sometime before the next season starts.
It shows a strong ruthless side to hecky which is needed and to be supported if we can avoid struggling next season
