Got to feel for him has had more good games than bad this season first sign of a bad game and he is dropped for wabara and hasn't had a sniff since. I wasn't Wilsons biggest fan last time round but least he gave the young lads a chance Johnsons treatment of them has been appalling. Why have a accademy if we are playing players like wabara before bree releasing rhys oates to bring in Connor Wilkinson. Another reason why Burton gets my vote I want to see our young lads given a chance. If only PC treat Johnson how he did the young lads and got shut after one bad game
Well said Redrum. Our youngsters never appear to get a fair crack of the whip yet some of the loan players appear to be undroppable no matter how poorly they perform.
It's very frustrating as a supporter to watch it happen. Bet just as frustrating for bree and the other young lads wanting there chance seeing the regulars under perform but never get a chance to make the 1st team. Also bet brees confidence has been shot to **** thanks to Lee Jay.
It's more than frustrating it is in fact a waste of the club's assets. Bree, Williams and other youngsters should be playing ahead of the likes of Wabara. LJ basically had little time for any player bought on by Wilson.
Another one williams made a mistake after coming on a sub when we were 2-1 down at chessy never seen again if wabara Mawson and the rest make that mistake I guarantee they don't get the same treatment. He even tried to get rid of Davies but the clown he brought in and gave umpteen chances to has been so garbage he forces Lee Jay to drop him.
He got rid of Oates, who from the little I saw of him was better than Wilkinson. He got rid of Berry who put a shift in every game he played. He got rid of Laikovich after refusing to play him, whose scoring for fun at Walsall
Can't say I've seen Bree have a bad game. Convinced that he'll end up playing regularly in at least the championship, as I reckon he's a better full back than what Holgate was (even though neither are full backs). He should be starting more regularly than he is, but you've got to remember he's only a young lad still, and he's had injury problems already. Play him too much and he could easily end up going the same way as RNL, Digby or Luke Potter. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
I'd be playing both him & Smith - without question. Funnily enough, Smith was blamed for a lot of our goals by some on here but when he's been dropped and we've brought these experienced players in we're still conceding. Wabara for me does nothing going forward and does even less defensively.
You need a mixture of all 3. Experience is vital for the young lads to learn from. Ala Hassell and Stones.
But talent requires experience to really shine. As any footballer will tell you. I'm not doubting the talent of Wabara/Pearson/Mawson. I'm doubting they don't have the leadership/mentality to show it regularly & that will come from working with more experienced, demanding pros.
Bree's probably better out of it for now, he has shown enough for me to think he'll be ok. Only slight concern is going from central mid to right back. Might indicate a step back, but I am pretty sure he's got the right attitude long term.
