Maybe he had a change of heart after reading all the bullsh1t posted about him on here.

If I were in his shoes, I'd think why even bother. Thankless task running a football club at any level.

Ben has been a director since 2013, for some reason he's listed again though.

he also said he asked his son to be on the board, but he said no, because he wanted to remain a fan

He's been Company Secretary since 2013 according to Co.House on the list above.

Edit: that attachment is too small to read, don't know how to make it bigger.

    Access via http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk//wcframe?name=accessCompanyInfo

Search for Barnsley FC 2002, click on the Company Number, then click on "Order Information on this Company"

I wouldn't read anything in to it

Might just be something to do with voting/quorum for voting etc.

I should hope its something like that.

Because if he has stepped down because of rumours or messages on media outlets like this message board then he obviously hasn't got a strong enough personality to be involved with Directorship/Management of a football club.

Surely, surely, surely - the people that get involved in any football club or any sports club should know that with that involvement comes criticism of all kinds.

Its sport FFS and one of the beauties of sport is that everybody has an opinion - whether wrong or right or just plain daft.

Dont think its opinions that would cause him to stand down tbh nudge I think its the abusive language and unfounded accusations that may have contributed imo

Which is more or less what I was describing.

If he's not able to take with, not a pinch, but a SACK of salt the abusive language and unfounded accusations that may come his way as a director of a football club then he obviously aint cut out for the job in the first place.

I can only say that if I was him I'd be phoning mi mates up and laughing about the resent accusations being sent my way.

But then again, I'm very used to people saying bad things about me from people that have never met me.

And I wouldn't say this is a matter of how sensitive a person is - I just think its a matter of accepting what is likely to happen in your life if you are willing to rise above the rest and put your head above the parapet

My advice to him - would be to be strong enough and wise enough to just laugh these accusations off (and that advice goes for his dad as well)
