    Why should football be any different to everything else in this country? We are all told that we have to up productivity, and be more efficient. A deal where a player like this, was told " if you put 2000 on each gate averaged out you will get 50% of the takings." correct my maths but 1000 x average gate price £20 = £20000.

    Am I talking rubbish here or what???

    I don't think many players would sign a deal where their basic 'paid for doing **** all' salary wasn't around the Kings ransom mark. The underlying problem is that football is completely immune from reality so the issues we normal folk face and the measures we have to implement are just the stuff of legends in the bubble that is the world of football.
